Who am I?
Well, one way or another you’ve come to my site. Welcome! 🙂
If you have a look back through the archives you’ll see that I think about food, a lot. Not just eating it, but how I can recreate and adapt meals to a Low-Carb/High-Fat (LCHF) and grain-free diet.
When I travel, my priority is where I’m going to eat and when I get home I like to recreate our favourite meals. Not always easy with certain ingredients.
I’m not a professional chef, although I have worked in the industry and eaten at a lot of good restaurants 🙂 I have a strong dislike for faux-food and processed cr*p so I also have the odd rant……..
We have the smallest kitchen imaginable, a household budget to stick to and I don’t always get it right, but I’ve never made a total-fail meal. There is always a way to save the day!
Food waste makes me angry; not just because of world poverty (although that’s, like, pretty awful) but because food prices are rising so we need to do more with less.
I do follow a predominantly LCHF/ Primal lifestyle. Does this mean I never eat ‘carbs’? Let’s get this straight – vegetables are carbohydrate. I eat more vegetables than some vegetarians! What I avoid is processed starches (bread, pasta, corn) and food with added sugar. Learn more
